World-class professional tennis player Chris Evert was the American athlete in question, and has come to symbolise the popularising of a low-key luxury item with the general fashion shift of the era.
“To be honest, they’ve never really gone out of style as they're are so timeless, elegant and add sophistication to any outfit,” Sally tells us. “But, thanks to the ‘quiet luxury’ trend which has soared in popularity since Sofia Richie-Grainge’s wedding, these bracelets have skyrocketed. Their simplicity lends itself well to that understated yet elegant aesthetic.”
