Harkins Theatres, Digiplex Destinations and Premiere Cinemas have joined Fandango‘s network of cinema chains, the movie ticketer said Thursday.
The company said that the new agreements will add 1,000 screens to its rolls in a dozen states including California, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, New Mexico and Texas. The deals will go into effect this summer.
The online and mobile ticketer now represents more than 24,000 screens domestically.
Harkins, which is the fifth largest theater chain in the United States, is the big plum for Fandango. It operates 30 theaters in five states and gives Fandango an expanded presence in the Southwestern United States.
“We are thrilled to work with Harkins, Digiplex and Premiere to help them reach even more moviegoers through our expanding online and mobile ticketing platforms, and ultimately grow their businesses,” Paul Yanover, president of Fandango, said in a statement.
Fandango’s latest deals come after the company announced a new program to sell tickets on Twitter last month and purchased MovieClips, a YouTube movie footage network, from Zefr.
