Another day, another funny mugshot story.
Following the success of last week's 'Mugshot of the Day', this week we bring you the 'Why are you so happy?' mugshot.
It seems the small matter of being arrested didn't wipe the smile off these criminals' faces, and they were only too happy to say a big fat 'cheese!' for the camera.
No teeth: The 'I know I shouldn't laugh but I can't keep it in any longer' pose as modelled by a man arrested for domestic abuse, left, and the 'D'ya think I'm sexy?' look as worn by a woman busted allegedly for prostitution
Toothy and toothier: Could this be a before and after shot for a dental hygiene campaign? Kids, this is what happens when you don't floss, left, and you can have a wide toothy grin like this perp if you do, right
Pain?: The jury is out on whether these two criminals are ecstatic... or being subjected to some form of torture on a part of their anatomy not captured by the camera
The 'happy' mugshots were released by WTSP News a week after Arizona-based sheriff Joe Arpaio, known for his uncompromising stance on crime, announced he would let the public browse through the images of those arrested each day and then vote for their favourite.

ShareArrest charges in the latest booking photos range from indecent exposure, domestic abuse, and burglary to possession of narcotics, resisting arrest, public intoxication and disturbing the peace.
But whatever their crime was, and even with the threat of jail time, these criminals weren't willing to let it affect their mood - in fact, they looked like it just made their day.

Winning: This man and woman appear to be so overcome with joy and happiness they just don't seem to know what they did to deserve being arrested but they just want to show every inch on their faces
Some displayed wide, toothy - and in some cases toothless - grins, while others preferred the more subtle 'I know something you don't know' smile.
Then you've got the standard, 'I'm really high on drugs', shots and some of the more relaxed, 'I'm totally going to put this on my wall at home' proud smiles.
Mix these in with the 'I know what I've done is bad and I'm trying not to laugh' pose and the 'I could actually be clinically insane' shot and you've got yourself one bunch of happy perps.
