Police are hunting for five marijuana trimmers suspected of killing a California man after they tried to rob him of 100 pounds of weed.
Jeffrey Quinn Settler, 35, was found dead Thursday afternoon on a remote property in the 49000 block of North US Highway 101 in Laytonville, police told CBS San Francisco.
Authorities have already issued a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Zachary Ryan Wuester.

Authorities have already issued a warrant for the arrest of 24-year-old Zachary Ryan Wuester, who they believe is the main suspect in the killing. The suspects assaulted Settler so violently that he died, deputies said
Police said they are in the process of issuing four more warrants for the arrests of Frederick Gaestel, 27, Gary Blank III, Gary Lynn Fitzgerald, 23, and 26-year-old Amanda Weist, according to the station.
Sheriff's officials said deputies confirmed that Settler had died in a violent assault on the remote property, which is about five miles from the highway along a dirt road.
Settler was allegedly growing marijuana and selling it. The marijuana was not for medicinal purposes, officials said.
Deputies said the killing occurred early Thursday morning when the suspects who Settler had hired as marijuana trimmers came to the property to rob him of some marijuana.

The suspects, who knew where Settler lived, entered the structure and assaulted Settler so violently that he died, deputies told the station.
Authorities said they believe the suspects may be fleeing to Southern California or out of the state.
It is believed that they are traveling in a blue, 2017, 4-door Volkswagen Golf with a Virginia license plate.
Detectives believe that Wuester is the main suspect in the killing.
