Giant Inflatable Minion Wreaks Havoc in Ireland

What actually happened was a 30-foot Minion balloon got loose in Ireland much to the horror of drivers on the road and much to the delight of the Internet looking at the photos. According to The Journal, the inflated creature was supposed to be a display for a local fair in North Dublin, but the heavy winds somehow caused it to get loose from the ropes tethering it to the ground and it just made a break for it. It rolled past a road and caused a traffic jam, but thankfully no one was hurt.

"I'm not sure how it got loose but I just saw it coming loose and flying across the road as we were driving," witness Erin Van Londen told The Journal. "I actually rang the gardaĆ. It was quite an odd thing to have to report. They came and sorted it all out. They deflated it on the road and then they ended up having to get a wheelbarrow to get it out of the way."

Sure, but when we try and call the police because we couldn't bear to see one more Minion banner on the side of a city bus, we're "crazy" and "not reporting an actual emergency" and "making a scene."
