Veteran Rogers & Cowan executive Jeff Raymond has been promoted to senior VP of entertainment.
Raymond is joining senior VP of entertainment Lindsay Galin in a newly appointed position co-managing the talent department of the company.
Co-presidents Alan Nierob and Fran Curtis made the announcement Monday. In addition to their current duties, Galin and Raymond will be responsible for developing the digital, content curating and social media competencies of new emerging publicists at the agency as part of strategies outlined by CFO Rich Davis in mid-2015.
“Lindsay and Jeff are by far two of the most talented public relations professionals in the business,” said Nierob and Curtis. “Both have grown and diversified our talent department exponentially. They have a keen eye for talent in all areas of the business, including entertainment, fashion, music and sports, and will be taking on a more managerial role in our talent department.”
Galin came to Rogers & Cowan in New York in 2011, after launching her own talent publicity firm, Lantern PR, in 2009. In addition to her work with Liam Neeson, Richard Gere and Felicity Jones, she spearheaded recent campaigns for Academy Award-winning best actress Brie Larson and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor John Boyega. Galin began her career in the publicity department at Hearst Magazines.

Raymond joined Rogers & Cowan in 2007, after starting his own PR company, PYR PR, in 2002. He’s handled campaigns for Britney Spears and her “Britney: Piece of Me” Las Vegas show, David Beckham, Nate Parker, Michael Keaton, Vin Diesel, NASCAR’s Jimmie Johnson, Lionel Richie, Paula Patton and L.A. Lakers point guard Jordan Clarkson.
